A clay vessel from Knossos with a short label: DI-NA-U, a divider, then VIN (“wine”) 17, a name, a commodity and a quantity. The record gives only a clay vessel; the stand-in is a wide-bellied jar with a raised band round its shoulder and the label cut above it, and its shape and size are its own.
