# KN Zb 36 A Linear A inscription carved again in 3D: clay jar from Knossos. - Object: Clay jar - Site: Knossos - Edition: GORILA IV ## Text 1. [VIN]() ## Proposed translation wine ## Lexicon entries here - [VIN](): wayn 'wine'. Probable. ## Remarks One sign on a clay vessel from Knossos: VIN, “wine”, a label for what the vessel held. KN Zb 37 and KN Zb 38 carry the same sign. The record gives only a clay vessel; as GORILA's Zb class (incised on clay) suggests, the stand-in has the sign cut into the shoulder of a small storage jar, whose shape and size are its own. Generated stand-in, not a scan: the shape follows the published description, the sign layout is approximate. ## 3D model Created at Plasma AI. Template model generated in the browser; texts after the project dossier and GORILA. Glyphs: Noto Sans Linear A (OFL), re-cut stroke by stroke. --- Page: https://linear-a.ai/inscriptions/tpl-kn-zb-36/ Licence: CC BY 4.0 for the translations and commentary; the corpus keeps its sources’ terms, SigLA’s records CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 Cite as: di Mino, Tom. 2026.
