## Commentary

ZA 21a: *118-MI 2 closes a quantity list (PI-MU 40, TE 2, PA 5, TA-MA-PI 3); a counted entry favours a commodity. With *118 = ṭa, √ṭ-m-m (PS *ṭmm): Ar. ṭamma, of water, 'to abound, rise high' (Lane 1877); no case is assigned (Fischer 2002, §140). Rival: dam 'blood', Heb. דָּם (HALOT 224), Ug. dm (DULAT 270), with *118 for plain d. One attestation, two signs. See DA-ME.
