## Commentary

The *304 commodity logogram with a PA adjunct, in seven administrative attestations: a phonetic complement or a commodity qualifier, as in other logogram-plus-sign compounds. SigLA codes the sign A629. GORILA takes it as A 304 + PA; Schoep finds A 629 in other contexts than A 304 (HT 100.1, among signs for groups of people; KH 7b.3, 73.2), beside A 303 and A 316, a qualifier or adjunct (Schoep 2002, 123). PA can write the onset p of pidr, as WA writes the wa- of wayn in VIN+WA. Weak point: its a stands against the i of pidr- (Heb. pädär, suff. pidr-, HALOT 914).
