## Commentary

KH 92 .1 A-DA-*21F-RI · KU-NI-TE 10[, a personal name at the head of an allocation list. ha-dāhari 'the Charioteer': Hebrew dāhar 'to dash, gallop' of a horse (Nah 3:2), dahărâ 'galloping' (Judg 5:22; HALOT 214). Egypt borrowed the word for the chariot warrior, twhr (AED lemma 173060). Albright's Canaanite source of Eg. tuhira 'charioteer' is *dōhar < *dāhar (HALOT 214), the a that *21F writes. Rival: Arabic dahr 'time, fate, epoch', which has no cognate of that sense in Hebrew, Ugaritic or Akkadian. A- is the article on the title, as in Heb. Hallôḥēš (Neh 3:12) and Hassōperet (Ezra 2:55). Weak point: no Semitic name from the root is attested. One attestation.
