## Commentary

Six Haghia Triada attestations. First word on HT 102 (SA-RA₂ GRA 976 follows; KU-RO 1060), HT 94a (VIR+[?] 62 follows on the line; KU-RO 110), HT 6a (divider, then DA-TA-RA) and HT 105 (broken after PA; VIR+[?] 234 below). An entry with ½ on HT 8b and HT 140; KA-PA-QE 5¾ on HT 6a. Abbreviated KA on HT 140 (Montecchi 2010, 15). Hebrew and Aramaic kĕpar 'village', with final /r/ unwritten; Bronze Age kapr 'village' at Ebla, Alalakh VII and on the Euphrates, Ug. kpr (GlOS 1, 315). The ½ entries make an institution or entity the rival to a place. Rival: Akkadian gabbu 'all' (Gordon, via Rendsburg 1996, 38), spelt ka-pa-šu-nu and qa-pa-šu-ma at Nuzi, where it follows a total of men (Gordon 1934, 20 §100). It fits the heads of HT 94a and HT 105, but not the ½ entries, and HT 94a closes with KU-RO. See KU-PA-RI.
