## Commentary

Feminine of KU-PA₃-NU Kubānu, on the base of KU-PA₃-PA₃ Kubaba (HT 88, where KU-PA₃-NU also stands). HT 119 KU-RO 160 includes *327 34 and VIR 68, so KU-PA₃-NA-TU 7 counts persons. HT 47a KU-PA₃-NA-TU 20[ is broken. Amorite has the short base with the same -ān- in Kubb-ān-um (Gelb 1980, no. 4148), and in Kuba-ʾEl (Gelb 1980, nos. 4099–4100), so the name need not write Kubaba's second BA. Akkadian ištarītu, a priestess named from Ištar, is the same type. AP Za 2 ]-KU-PA₃-NA-TU-NA-TE-[ carries the stem.
