## Commentary

OLE with the adjunct U, 22 tokens on 13 documents from Haghia Triada and Tylissos (TY 3a): a distinct oil subtype. ʿuṣār 'pressed (oil)', √ʿ-ṣ-r: Arb. ʿaṣara 'he pressed it so as to force out its juice, sirup, honey, oil' (Lane 2061), and ʿuṣārat, coll. ʿuṣār, 'expressed juice… of things having oil or sirup or honey' (Lane 2062), the u that U writes; Syr. ʿṣar 'tread, press out' (Payne Smith 423); JArm. maʿṣartā 'press' (Tg. Ps.-J. Num 18:27). The ʿ goes unwritten, as in E. Weak point: the noun ʿuṣār is Arabic.
