## Attestations

## Commentary

AP Za 2 line 2 preserves ]PI-MI-NA-TE from a broken left edge to a divider after TE; PI and MI are written over an erasure (GORILA IV 5). bi-mināti 'by the portions': PI the proclitic bi-, as in PI-KU-ZU bi-kuṯ, and mināt 'portion', Emar mināt (GlOS 2, 45), Ugaritic mnt (I) 'portion, ration' (DULAT 558), Akk. minītu, pl. mināti, 'amount' (CAD M/2 86), √m-n-y 'count, allot', TE writing the oblique. Rival: Ugaritic mnt 'enumeration; spell, incantation' (GlOS 2, 45). Rival: Hebrew minḥâ 'gift, offering' (Lev 2:1), Ugaritic mnḥt 'tribute' (DULAT 556), with ḥ unwritten. Younger restores I-]PI-MI-NA-TE and compares PI-*34-TE (HT 116a); no I survives before PI. Weak point: the left edge is lost, so a sign may stand before PI. One attestation. See MI+*301, MI-NU-TE and DA-DU-MI-NE.
