## Compared forms

- Hebrew: *zō(ʾ)t* — zō(ʾ)t 'this' (f.sg.), from an earlier interdental demonstrative base; closest lexical parallel (Huehnergard 2023, 46)
- Phoenician: *ʾGN* — ʾGN n.f. 'bowl'; FK D 35 hʾgn hz 'this bowl,' with a postposed demonstrative (Krahmalkov 2000, 31)
- Ugaritic/Arabic: dāti/ḏāti is an inflected genitive relative/possessive form with a phonemic final /i/; it is retained only as the rejected rival analysis

## Attestations

- [KN Zc 7](<https://linear-a.ai/texts/KNZc7/index.md>): A-KA-NU-ZA-TI DU-RA-RE A-ZU-RA — this (f.sg. demonstrative)

## Commentary

Fills the gap Gordon (1966 §156) marked between A-KA-NU and DU-RA-RE. ZA-TI writes zāt (older *zāʾt), TI giving final t with a support vowel; Hebrew zō(ʾ)t, from West Semitic *ðv̄- (Huehnergard 2023, 46), is the closest parallel. Phoenician ʾGN is feminine, and FK D 35 hʾgn hz 'this bowl' sets the demonstrative after its noun (Krahmalkov 2000, 31): A-KA-NU ZA-TI 'this bowl'. Rivals: ḏāti 'of', whose Ugaritic dāti and Arabic ḏāti keep a genitive i and need an agreement frame absent here; a name, 'bowl of Zati': Ebla za-ti (Pagan 1998, row 5052; ARET 15 30). Weak points: a hapax; GORILA reads ZA where SigLA reads ZE; A-ZU-RA on the same cup leaves its final t unwritten. See TA-TE-I-KE-ZA-RE.
