## Commentary

KN Zc 7, an inked inscription: A-KA-NU-ZA-TI · DU-RA-RE · A-ZU-RA ·, then JA-SA-RA-A-NA-NE. ʾAṯirat, Athirat: ZU writes /ṯ/ with any vowel or none, keeping the interdental that Akkadian Aširat and Hebrew ʾĂšērā have lost; final RA writes the live /a/ of the feminine ending, and the middle vowel is kept, as in Ugaritic ʾaṯrt /ʾaṯiratu/, against the syncopated ᵈaš-ra-tu at Ugarit and aš-ra-tu in EA 60; final -t unwritten. One attestation.
