- Status: incomplete

HT Zd 157: WI-JA-SU [recipient's name] · MA-TI-TI 'gift' · A319 [unidentified commodity]. HT Zd 156: NE 1 · NE 1½ · A319 2¼ · A319 3⅜ · TA-JA 1/16.

## Word by word

| Word | Reading | Gloss | Tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| WI-JA-SU-MA-TI-TI | | WI-JA-SU \| MA-TI-TI. WI-JA-SU is likely the recipient's name, with no reading. MA-TI-TI 'gift' (Heb. mattat, HALOT 656). The rival √š-m-ṭ parse needs TI-TI to write a geminate | |
| A319 | | unidentified commodity logogram, no sound value; five tokens in four documents. On HT Zd 156 it takes 2¼ and 3⅜ after two NE signs | Candidate |
| TA-JA | | unread—a 2-consonant glide skeleton, within chance; probably a commodity/payer abbreviation on the final fraction line | |

## Commentary

GORILA IV 132–35 presents HT Zd 156 (HM 53) and HT Zd 157 (HM 54) as separate stucco fragments from the same wall; their continuation is possible but not physically demonstrated. HT Zd 156 runs NE 1, NE 1½, A319 2¼, A319 3⅜, each figure half again the one before.

## Epigraphic note

GORILA IV 132–35: HT Zd 156 (HM 53) and HT Zd 157 (HM 54) are separate stucco fragments; their continuation is possible but not physically demonstrated. HT Zd 157 reads | · WI-JA-SU-MA-TI-TI-A319, opening with a stroke and a divider as A-JU · opens HT Zd 155, with no divider before MA and wear from SU through A319; MA is drawn differently in the two transcriptions. HT Zd 156 begins with two NE signs, then A319 2¼ and A319 3⅜. Five A319 tokens occur across HT132, HT Zd 155, HT Zd 156 (twice) and HT Zd 157; A319 has no sound value.
