Proto-MSA \*ʕamḳ- 'middle' (SEDonline 775). Derived from PS \*ʕmḳ 'to be deep', notwithstanding a somewhat peculiar semantic development (Kogan 2015: 549 apud SEDonline 775). Cf. K0638 \*ʿVmVq- 'deep, valley'.
