## Notes

PS \*bˀr 'to catch, to fish, to hunt' (SEDonline 1729). Akk. baʾāru (var. bâru) is compared with Mhr. bîter by Bittner 1911: 147, and Soq. bʕr is attested in Müller 1905: 261 (both apud EDA I 95, ◊P0139); EDA I 95 leaves the second radical open, since the Soqotri ʕ has no Jibbali match. Cf. 3345 \*bʕr 'to go by night'.
