## Notes

PS \*bṣ̂ṣ̂ 'to trickle, to flow' (SEDonline 1834). Akk. derived biṣṣu 'trickle' (EDA I 399, ◊P0723). Akk. baṣāṣu is probably related to either Arb. bḍḍ or Arb. baṣṣa l-māˀu = rašaḥa 'to leak, to ooze (of water)' (TA 17 491 apud EDA I 399, ◊P0723). Cf. 776 \*baṣ̂- 'sand' 1, 'silt' 2, 'waterlogged ground' 3.
