Proto-MSA \*lhm/lḥm 'to touch' (SEDonline 1466). Which of \*lhm and \*lḥm is primary is hard to say; for \*lḥm cf. perhaps Arb. lḥm (VI) 'to be joined, knit together', Gez. ʾalḥama 'to close, to glue' (Kogan 2015:563 apud SEDonline 1466).
