## Notes

PWS \*pˀm 'to be fat' (SEDonline 1804). SEDonline 1804 also sets here Gz. ˀafˀama 'to put a morsel of food in another's mouth, to feed' (CDG 154) and (tä)famä 'to take a bite' (Leslau 1956: 198); EDA I 135–136 (◊P0210) sets Hbr. pīmā and Arb. fˀm (after von Soden), with Gz. ˀafˀama and Gaf. (tä)famä, beside Akk. piyāmu 'hero (?)', and finds the link of 'fat' and 'hero' not straightforward. Cf. 143 \*pay- 'mouth'.
