## Notes

Biella 458 sets Arabic qamaʿa 'restrain, subdue' beside the Sabaic. Lane 2560 gives qamaʾa as a synonym of qamaʿa, the latter the original word. 2813 \*kVnVʿ- 'subdue' is another root.
