Geez rakʷsa 'be unclean, be impure, be defiled' is the verb (LGz. 470), with Tigrinya räḵʷäsä 'be dirty', Tigre räksa and Amharic räkkʷäsä. Lane 1146 gives riks as i.q. rijs; Leslau calls riks related to riǧs (Ambros apud LGz. 470). Not K0348 \*rakās- 'bind'.
