Commentary
HT 35 .1 I-KU-TA at the end of the line after TI-TI-KU · *326 ·, its entry CYP 1 at the head of .2 (GORILA I 67); all three signs whole and undotted. ḥi-ku(p)-ta(ḥ): I writes ḥi with the guttural dropped, the coda p and the final ḥ unwritten. The Byblos letter EA 139:8 also leaves the p unwritten, ḫi-ku-ta-aḫ, where EA 84:37 has ḫi-ku-up-ta-aḫ (Belmonte, RGTC 12/2, 105). Ugaritic Ḥkpt is the seat of Kothar, Egyptian ḥwt-kꜣ-ptḥ (DULAT 353). Linear B i-ku-to is a man in the dative at Mycenae (MY Oi 705.1). One witness.
