Commentary

HT 37, an inventory tablet: KI-*310-RE with quantity 1. With *310 = in the word reads ki-in-re, kinnār ‘lyre’, the anchor for that value. Heb. kinnōr (כִּנּוֹר), the lyre David played before Saul (1 Sam 16:23). Emar writes the lyre ki-in-na-ru, in closing the first syllable as *310 does (Pentiuc 2001, 98). Weak point: *310 = in is a proposed value; /ni/ gives the same k-n-r. One attestation.
