Commentary

ZA Zb 34 ]PU₂-RE-JA · KO-MU · RU-DI[ (GORILA IV 115) holds the word, more signs perhaps following it. HT 141 .2 ]RU-DỊ-[ (GORILA I 239) breaks after DI, the word possibly whole. rūdī ‘roam!’, the feminine imperative of √r-w-d (PS *rVwVd-), addressed to PU₂-RE-JA ‘my Creatress’, with KO-MU the accusative of place: Heb. rûd ‘roam about freely’ (Jer 2:31), ‘Judah still goes about with God’ (Hos 12:1); Arb. rāda ‘go back and forth’ (HALOT 1194). Rival: ‘Rule!’, √r-d-y, Heb. rādâ (Gen 1:26, Ps 72:8), whose imperative rədēh has no u (HALOT 1190). Two attestations.
