Commentary
Reverse of HT 126. GORILA I 217 and the photograph show extensive loss along the left and lower edges; the lower field is missing. The text is a fragmentary administrative list rather than continuous prose.
Epigraphic note
GORILA I 217: reverse of the broken HT 126 tablet. Preserved entries are ]*305 3; ]6 TWE 4 · OVISf[; ]vest.[; ]TWE[; ]TU 6; the lower field is lost. GORILA I 217 and the photograph show loss along the left and lower edges. This is an administrative list, not continuous prose. *305 is a counted personnel category whose exact class remains unknown. AB87/TWE functions as a quantified logogram here, but its referent is unresolved. The animal sign on b.2 is OVISf, ‘ewe,’ not syllabographic *21F=/ha/; its quantity is lost. The second TWE likewise lacks its quantity. Final ]TU 6 occurs in the same animal-register context and is compatible with the candidate TU logogram ‘bull/cattle’ (< Semitic *ṯawru), but the initial break requires the reading to remain tentative.
