Commentary
GORILA IV, 8–9 gives ]TA-NU-MU-TI · JA-SA-SA-RA-MA / NA · DA-WA-[·]-ḌU-WA-ṬO · I-JA[. No divider separates MA from NA, so JA-SA-SA-RA-MA-NA is one graphic word across the side break. If the initial TA begins a word, the proposed strict rendering is ‘may you be gracious—in righteousness indeed’; the smoother translation below renders the adverbial phrase as coordinated English. The lexical controls are √n-ʿ-m ‘be gracious/favourable’ and Amorite /yašaram/ ‘in righteousness’; the 2fs -tī and emphatic =na remain analogical proposals. The two final groups are damaged and left untranslated.
