Commentary
Context: Syme libation formula, fragmentary. Thomas 2020, 20 distinguishes only A-ṬẠ-Ị-*3̣0̣1-WA-[…]-KA-NA-[…] SI-RU-TE, with substantial text lost between the fragments (GORILA V 66–67, before the joins: ca. 20 signs). KA-NA stands in formula position 4, where the other sites have U-NA-KA-NA-SI.
Epigraphic note
Fragmentary libation table completed by two later-joining fragments (Muhly & Olivier 2008). Transcribed after Thomas 2020, 20, who distinguishes only A-ṬẠ-Ị-*3̣0̣1-WA-[…]-KA-NA-[…] SI-RU-TE. GORILA V 66–67, before the joins, prints A-TẠ-Ị-*301̣-WA[ with ca. 20 signs lost before ]SI-RU-TE. Younger reads the middle stretch ]•-•-•SE-KA-NA-SI[•]TE[ with SE, SI and TE doubtful, and Hogan (quoted by Thomas 2020, 20) reads ∙ ∙ ∙ -ṢẸ-KA-NA-ṢI-[∙] ṬẸ-[. No reading prints a divider in the stretch, so SE-KA-NA-SI is an editor’s segment, not a word of the text. KA-NA stands in formula position 4, where the other sites have U-NA-KA-NA-SI. The JA of A-TA-I-*301-WA-JA is restored.
