AB21 QI never stands inside a word. In Linear B, Melena reads it /ˈai/ with a glottal onset (Untransliterated Syllabograms, 21–22), Bibee and Wilson-Wright 2017 a laryngeal before i (Aegean Scripts II, 713–18), the reflex a uvular q would leave in Greek.
