Notes
Middle Hebrew dildēl 'to allow to hang down' (HALOT 223). Not 1209 *dall- 'buttocks', 1496 *dall- 'small, inferior' or 290 *dal(V)w- 'bucket' (Arabic dlw 'let down'). Hebrew dallâ 'thrum; loose hair' (Is 38:12, Song 7:6; HALOT 222); LGz. 131 sets it beside Geez dəllāle. LGz. 131 glosses Geez dəllul 'combed, curly, curled' and dəllāle 'curled hair, curl', and sets them with Arabic (ta)daldala 'dangle'.
