Notes

PS *ḫlš 'to tear out' (Kogan 2015: 558–559 apud SEDonline 472), with Proto-MSA *ḫlš 'to abort' (3104) as its lower-level reconstruction. SEDonline 472 also sets Heb. ḥlš 'to defeat' (HALOT 324) here; K0728 *ḥalaš- holds it as 'to be weak'. Kogan's informants give Soq. ḥéḷoš as 'to fight' (Kogan 2015: 559 fn. 1461 apud SEDonline 472).
