Notes

Proto-MSA *rkt 'to step, to tread' (SEDonline 1500). It may be related to roots with the biconsonantal element *rk, cf. Soq. róked 'to stamp one's feet' and rékaẓ̂ 'to tread the ground' (LS 400) (Kogan 2015:569 apud SEDonline 1500). Cf. 3117 *rkṣ̂ 'to tread, to trample; to kick'.
