Notes
HALOT 1393 reads Hebrew šōbel (Is 47:2) either as 'train of a dress, hem of a skirt', with Driver's Arabic sabal 'long garments which hang down', or beside Arabic sabīl; Lane 1301: sabal 'garments made to hang down so as to drag', ʾasbala ʾizārahu 'he let down his waist-wrapper'. Cf. 353, 3511.
