Notes

PWS *šḥt 'to err, to be corrupt' (Kogan 2015, 122 apud SEDonline 1353). SEDonline 1353 joins Ethiopian səḥta (Gz., CDG 494) and its cognates, which carry the 'err' sense. Tomback (T 315) compares Anc.Aram. šḥt 'to destroy', B.Aram. šeḥat 'to be corrupt' and J.Aram. šeḥat 'to be mutilated'.
