Notes

Arabic šyṭ against Syriac swṭ. The noun is 2605 *ŝiwāṭ- 'fire', whose Notes derive the MSA nouns from *ŝwṭ 'to burn' (Kogan 2011, 195). Not K0497 *śVwVṭ- 'wander' or 3668 *swṭ 'to mix'.
