Commentary
ARKH Zc 8 (FO Zc 1 is the same object), the sole word on an inked object from Arkhanes: a votive label. ʿaṭāye ‘gift’: Arb. ʿaṭāʾ ‘a gift’ (Lane 2085), √ʿ-ṭ-w ‘to give’, with TA for ṭ and the glide of the III-weak noun *ʿaṭāy- written JE. Weak point: the root is attested in Arabic alone. One attestation.
