Commentary

KH 9 MI / I-SI · CYP+D ½ 2, with cyperus; PYR Wc 4, a roundel, TI (figs) · I-SI. Hebrew ʾiššeh ‘offering by fire’ (HALOT 93), the rival of A-SE ʾāsē ‘physician’; the two spellings share no site (A-SE: HT, ZA; I-SI: KH, PYR). Frankincense alone is an ʾiššeh (Lev 24:7), as cyperus is on KH 9. Weak point: one consonant. Two attestations. See A-SE.
