Commentary

HT 91 opens with I-KA over grain and small rations of oil, olives, figs and wine; HT 102 I-KA 5 (KA dotted) in a grain ledger, KU-RO 1060 after SA-RA₂ GRA 976. ʾikkār ‘farmer’: Akk. ikkaru ‘plowman, farmer’ (CAD I/J 49), Heb. ʾikkār, a loan from it (HALOT 47), Syr. ʾakkārā; the geminate and final r unwritten. Rival: the personal name Ikkaru (ORACC QPN). Two attestations. See I-KI-RA and A-KI-RO.
