Commentary

KH 74: ]-SỊ · JA-DA-SU, then ]SỊ-*805-MI, both broken before. Yadaʿ-Šum ‘Šum knew’, the Amorite JI-JDAʿ+ŚUM, I-DA-SU-UM (Gelb 1980, no. 2430), with JADAʿ (nos. 3168–3178) and Sum, the divine ‘Name’ (GlOS 2, 249–250; PS *(ʾi-)šim-); ʿ and mimation unwritten. Ug. ydʿ (DULAT 942), Heb. Yədaʿyāh. Rival: yadaʿšu ‘he knew him’, the verb with -šu, as Akk. Ilšu-ibbīšu ‘his god named him’ (de Boer 2014, 305). One attestation. See A-MI-DA-U.
