Commentary
HT 115a .2–.3 NA-*21F-NE-MI-NA 1, NA-*21F at the end of .2 after the erased ⟦*301-Ụ-RA⟧, NE-MI-NA at the head of .3, all five signs whole and undotted, on a palimpsest (GORILA I 189). Egyptian nẖnm, one of the seven sacred oils of the offering lists (AED lemma 87760; Wb 2, 319.1–3): *21F writes ẖ as it writes Hurrian ḫ in A-SE-TU-*21F, NE and MI the n and m. NA is the noun ending in -n that Semitic adds to Egyptian loans: Hebrew ʾēṭûn ‘linen’ < jdm.j (HALOT 37), qîqāyôn ‘castor-oil plant’ < kꜣkꜣ (HALOT 1099), Akkadian kukkānītu (CAD K 498). HT 135a has ]NẸ-MI-NA 10 (.1) and NA-*21F-NE[ (.3), each matching one end of this word. Rival: a personal name, as Ritmā, Šakūtu and Barāne stand beside it. One whole witness.
