Commentary

HT 20 (GORILA I 37): PA-RO-SU · heads six fraction entries (KU-MA-JU ¼, QE-KU-RE · DI ½, *21M ⅛, SA-RE-JU ⅛, WA ¼, *188+KU ½). The same scribe’s HT 16 has the same layout under KA-KU-PA ·, a party, so the heading names the recipient. Parʿōš ‘flea’, the clan of Ezra 2:3 (HALOT 971); RO writes rʿō with ʿ lost. Rival: parsu ‘portion, dry measure’ (Ug. prs, DULAT 671), which leaves RO unexplained. HT 104 .3–4 PA-DA-SU-TI 29 is a candidate for PA-RO-SU-TI, this name with -TI, in a list of X-TI entries (GORILA I 171; Schoep 2002, 47). One attestation.
