Commentary
HT 146 .4 RI-KA-TA 30, the last of four entries of 30 (]QE[ 30, RI-*305 30, MA 30); RI word-initial, TA dotted (GORILA I 241). The Kom el-Hetan list of Amenhotep III (statue base C, no. 9) writes Ri-ka-ta beside the names read as Amnisos and Knossos; Astour takes it as ‘most probably identical with the Cretan Lyktos’ and explains Likata as a status absolutus beside LB ru-ki-to (Astour 1966, AJA 70, 317). r/l merger; the three vowels match the Egyptian form, not LB ru-ki-to. Lyktos lies far from Haghia Triada. Rests on the dotted TA. One attestation.
