Commentary

HT 39 .3 SA-MA-TI 10, then KU-RE[ (GORILA I 75), complete at the left edge. The list runs TA-I-*123 10[, KU-RE-JU 8, KU[, SA-MA-TI 10, KU-RE[, then KU-RO *414+A 100[. SA-MA-TI takes no commodity sign and stands among names. It writes Ṣamidi, cf. the Amorite woman’s name ṢAMID-UM (Gelb 1980, no. 6398) and Amorite ṢMD ‘to bind, to harness’ (Gelb 1980, 34), Ug. ṣmd ‘yoked pair’. Weak point: TI for di. Rival: Akk. samīdu B, a groats (CAD S 115), which needs a commodity slot. One attestation.
