KN Zf 31, a silver pin from a Mavro Spelio tomb, second line, between TI-DI-TE-QA-TI ‘fix it, you have fastened it’ and TA-TE-I-KE-ZA-RE ‘with which one curls (the hair)’, intact and undotted (GORILA IV 155). ta-, 3fs prefix, of √ḫ-s-s ‘to remember’, the Ugaritic prefix form tḫss (DULAT 405). ḫ closes the first syllable and is unwritten, as the ʿ of teqaʿti. ZA writes the root’s second s as z, as Ebla writes ḫasīsu ḫa-zi-zu-um (VE 389). No final -ī, so 3fs, or 2ms ‘you remember’. The root gives Ḫasis, the second name of Kothar. Rival: tašʿazz ‘you make (it) firm’, Š of √ʿ-z-z (DULAT 194), which needs SA as ša and a Š stem Ugaritic does not attest. One attestation. See TI-DI-TE-QA-TI and TA-TE-I-KE-ZA-RE.
