Commentary

Ending of the petition verb: TA-NA-RA-TE-U-TI-NU (IO Za 2), TA-NA-I-*301-U-TI-NU (IO Za 6), ]U-TI-NU · I-NA-I-DA-[ (IO Za 11, broken before U). Davis, Thomas and Monti isolate it (Monti 2022, 111–112). U = indicative -u, TI = 2fs -tī, which fixes the ta- prefix as 2fs, as in PS Za 2 TA-NA-I-*301-TI ‘may you (f.) answer’, NU = -n(u) ‘us’ (di Mino, Ya Diktu; cf. Eblaite accusative -nu, Kogan and Krebernik 2021, 754). Thomas takes -u-, -ti- and -nu as three suffixes, not one morpheme (Thomas 2020, 16). Rival: -NU the precative particle (cf. Heb. nāʾ, Ps 119:108). Three attestations.
