Commentary

Base DA-KU-SE-NE occurs twice on HT103; the extended form occurs on HT104. The comparisons with Boğazköy Tagu(b)-šini and Ugaritic Taki-šenni support the name analysis, but neither the exact vocalization nor the function of TI is settled. The pair favors suffixation; GORILA I 171 allows TI to be an ideogram or classifier, and Finkelberg 2002/03, 96–97 proposes a dative/recipient function.
