Commentary
Two-word ritual inscription on bronze votive from Arkhanes. RILA updates GORILA reading of word 2 (MI-DA-MA-RA₂ → MI-DA-RU-RA). Purificatory/penitential formula: √k-s-y ‘to cover’ (Jonah 3:6 parallel) + PS *midr- ‘dust/ashes’. 2fp object suffix -kin (Ug. -kn, Heb. -ḵen) addresses a group of women; NU writes the final nasal.
