Commentary

Side b is an erased first text: GORILA I 135 sets every line in erasure brackets, ‘texte actuel sur premier palimpseste’. It repeats HT86a lines 1–3 (A-KA-RU · KU-NI-SU GRA+K+L 20, SA-RU 20, DI-DE-RU 20) and is not an independent witness. DI-DE is the start of side a’s DI-DE-RU; the erased text ends there.

Epigraphic note

GORILA I 135: the whole face is erased ([[ ]], ‘texte actuel sur premier palimpseste’), a first draft of HT86a lines 1–3 and not an independent lexical witness. A-KA-RU is safest as a field or estate heading; comparison with Ugaritic Ugaru, the deified Field, remains possible. GRA+K+L has unresolved metrological riders. DI-DE is legible but incomplete because the erased draft stops there; it begins side a’s DI-DE-RU and is recorded as DI-DE[…], not translated as a complete word.
