Commentary
GORILA IV 158–159 records a bronze bowl and prints all sixteen signs without dividers; the attribution KO(?) is uncertain. TO-MA-RO reads Tōmar, a palm name (Amorite Tamar-u, Ugaritic tmr, Hebrew Tāmār); the rest of the sequence is unread. Woudhuizen (2016, 230–31) divides the same sequence differently, independently illustrating the segmentation problem.
Epigraphic note
Vessel inscription; scriptio continua GORILA IV 158–159: bronze bowl (bol en bronze), Khania M. 385. The attribution KO(?) is itself uncertain. No dividers occur: the entire sixteen-sign text is scriptio continua, and A, RA and KO are dotted in both GORILA transcriptions. Sign 5 is QA in both, as Woudhuizen 2016, 231 reads it; Younger reads ZU. Consequently, TO-MA-RO and every other proposed internal division remain editorial rather than epigraphically marked.
