Commentary
Fragmentary stone-vessel inscription from the Dictaean Cave. The initial ]-RE-I-KE and medial […]-JA-(TI/E) groups are incomplete and remain untranslated. With *301 = NA, TA-NA-I-*301-(TI/E) may be an N-stem of √ʿ-n-y ‘answer,’ structurally comparable with IOZa6. The sign traditionally read TI may instead be LA 38 E (Ferrara, Montecchi, and Valério 2022, 87). The TI reading permits di Mino’s marked 2fs analysis; the E reading removes that marker and leaves TA- person-ambiguous. JA-SA-SA-RA-ME is read yaššaram, ‘in righteousness.’
Epigraphic note
Fragmentary ritual inscription. The first group is broken at the left edge, and the group before JA-SA-SA-RA-ME is damaged. The sign traditionally read TI in PS Za 2.2 may instead be LA 38 E (Ferrara, Montecchi, and Valério 2022, 87).
