Commentary
Context: Syme dialect libation formula with OLIV and OLE commodity ideograms. The sign immediately after SU-MA-TU is epigraphically disputed: GORILA V 64–65 and Davis read OLIV; Metaxa-Muhly 1984 and Finkelberg 1990 read RE. Final A-JA is complete, but its interpretation remains open: Haya, a √ḥ-y-y predicate or epithet, Aya, and Davis’s "much" are rivals.
