Notes
Rendsburg 2022, 332–333 and n. 76: Sabaic (4×) and Minaic (1×) ʾrṯt, the name of a sanctuary, is the feminine of ʾṯr 'place' with the same metathesis, beside Akkadian aširtu 'sanctuary'; South Arabian ʾṯrt is the name of the goddess Asherah (3× Minaic, 41× Qatabanian), not 'sanctuary'. Biella 31 compares Arabic ʾiṯra 'after' and Syriac bāṯār 'in the track of, after'. HALOT 97 derives ʾšr II pi. 'to call happy' from ʾōšer 'happiness' and traces it to ʾšr I 'to stride'; HALOT 99 cites Neo-Punic bʾšr lb 'joy of the heart'.
