Notes

OLA80 §35.20. Common origin across Semitic and Libyco-Berber. Tuareg tə-meḍe related to Semitic m't with emphatic d replacing voiceless t. Eblaite ma-i-AD, the numeral '100,000' of the administrative texts, is /miʾ-at/ '100' or m-ʾ-d 'to be much' (1704) for Krebernik 1983, 44; Sanmartín GlOS 2, 28 files it under maʔid 'abundant, great; 100.000' (m-ʔ-d), reading dubious.
